Home sales up in Red Deer and have outperformed their corresponding month’s sales 9 months in a row!
Each month since May 2020 sales have been higher. Each month I write about why or whether it will continue. This month I’m going to include more stats to give a greater look at what’s happening in the Red Deer and Central Alberta real estate market.
Red Deer stats
Detached home sales were up 72% in February. 102 detached homes sold in Red Deer last month and in February 2020 only 59 sold.
Total residential properties sales in February 2021 were up 73% with 137 properties selling in February 2021 after only 79 sold in February 2020.
Condo sales in Red Deer showed a 50% increase in February 2021.
Central Alberta real estate stats
Red Deer County had 22 residential sales in February 2021 compared to only 7 in February 2021. That’s a 214% increase.
The sales increases we witness in February are even more impressive considering the month had one less day than February 2020.
Twice as many homes sold in Sylvan Lake, Alberta in February.
Total residential sales in Blackfalds were up 79% in Feb.

Total residential sales in Innisfail were up 50% in Feb.
It would be tough to find a community in Central Alberta where home sales didn’t increase in February 2020.
